Biblical Research
OBJECTIVES:
The student completing a Biblical Research (B.A. only) emphasis will:
- Be able to communicate Biblical concepts to a local congregation using sound homiletical principles.
- Have a general introduction to the various ministry areas of the church through a combination of required and elective offerings.
- Have additional instruction in Bible courses.
- Have training in both Biblical Greek and Hebrew, with the ability to use both languages in the study of Scripture.
- Be prepared for seminary training.
- Demonstrate capacity for productive writing and research ministry in a specified field of the student's choosing under the supervision of a major professor.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to the standard requirements for the B.S. or B.A. degree, the student will complete the following 24 emphasis hours:

9 - Bible Electives
3 - Beginning Hebrew
3 - Intermediate Hebrew
2 - Hebrew Exegesis
2 - Ministry Electives
2 - Introduction to Biblical Research
1 - Independent Research
