    OBJECTIVES:
    The student completing a Christian Counseling emphasis will:

    1. Know the history and development of counseling.

    2. Be able to integrate counseling theory and practice with Biblical theology.

    3. Have peer counseling experience in the classroom setting.

    4. Have completed a field education program under the supervision of a qualified professional.

    5. Possess an adequate knowledge of the basics of the science of psychology.

    6. Possess the basic skills and confidence to do counseling.

    COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
    In addition to the standard requirements for the B.S. or B.A. degree, the student will complete the following 24 emphasis hours:

      3 - Introduction to Counseling
      2 - Integration Seminar
      2 - Tests and Measurements
      2 - Personality Types
      1 - Legal Issues in Counseling
      3 - Psychopathology
      8 - Counseling Electives (Choose from Crisis Counseling, Marriage & Family, Youth & Family Counseling, Ministerial Counseling, Pre-marital & Marital Programs, Marriage Counseling, or Cross-Cultural Counseling)
      1 - Ministry Field Orientation
      2 - Field Education Experience
