Christian Ministries

The Christian Ministries program enables students to personalize a curriculum from courses in various fields.  This course of study is helpful for students who have not selected which field to enter.  It also enables a student who is interested in more than one area of leadership to experience a broader ministry education.

Career Opportunities

Students who graduate with a Christian ministries degree may serve in a church or parachurch setting.  Graduates obtain jobs in associate ministries.  Some serve in small churches where they are “general practitioners” in multiple areas of ministry.  Campus ministry opportunities are also available for those who have tailored their studies appropriately.  Graduates may also pursue advanced degrees for specialized training in ministry areas.

Program Objectives

The Christian Ministries program can be developed either within the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.  In addition to those degree goals, students in the Christian Ministries program will be able to do the following:

  1. Evaluate their giftedness to meet the ministry needs of the kingdom of God.
  2. Consider a broad range of opportunities to serve professionally through exposure to interpersonal, public, and organizational ministry issues.
  3. Apply truths gained from Biblical and ministry classes to practical situations faced by the contemporary church.
