ACADEMIC ALERT
An incoming student may be placed on academic alert if the student's high school class rank falls below the 50th percentile and an ACT composite score below 19 (850 on the SAT). Any incoming student on academic alert will be subject to the following conditions of enrollment.

  1. The student will be limited to no more than 14 academic credit hours until a semester of coursework at the 2.0 grade level has been attained.

  2. The student will be required to enroll in Study Skills and Strategies with the tutor in order to provide accountability and assistance in the student's first semester of college. The cost of this private tutoring is not covered by the full-tuition scholarship.

ACADEMIC PROBATION
Any student whose cumulative GPA drops below 2.0 will be placed on Academic Probation/Financial Aid Warning until his or her cumulative GPA rises to 2.0 or above. (Transfer students who are on Academic Probation or Suspension from another college will also enroll on Probation. All co-op hours that transfer in will be included in the student's calculation.) A student on Academic Probation/Financial Aid Warning must maintain a semester GPA at or above 2.0. The failure of a student on Academic Probation/Financial Aid Warning to maintain a semester GPA at or above 2.0 will result in the academic suspension of the student and the suspension of all financial aid.

The evaluation of grades to determine Academic Probation and Academic Suspension will be done at the end of each semester. All students who were or will be on Probation or Suspension will be contacted in writing to inform them of their status. Appeals may be filed in writing with the VP of Academics within 10 days of notification.

ACADEMIC SUSPENSION

A student on Academic Suspension may take no more than 9 credit hours per semester. Should the student's cumulative GPA rise to 2.0 or above, the student may reapply for acceptance as a full-time student.
