GRADUATION HONORS
Special awards are given to baccalaureate students for work of exceptional merit. Valedictorian and salutatorian awards are granted to the students with the highest and second highest grade point average (GPA), respectively. To qualify, students must have earned 40 of the last 60 hours which apply to the degree, at Central. Graduates with at least 60 hours taken at Central are graduated cum laude ("with honor") if they have a GPA of at least 3.7 for the hours taken at Central. The faculty also selects a class orator from among the graduates.
