    PCM 260   Art of Preaching   (2 hours)
    An intermediate level course designed to focus on the total preaching event. Attention will be paid to preaching styles, methods, and resources. The preparation of both the mind and the heart of the preacher will be stressed. Sermon preparation, delivery, and evaluation will be part of this course. Prerequisite: GCA 131 Oral Communication. (Every semester)

    PCM 324   Church Growth   (2 hours)
    This course studies the principles of growth using a wide variety of examples, statistics, and research on the subject of church growth. This course has as its goal the practical application of the laws of growth in the local congregation. (Occasional)

    PCM 325   Practical Ministries   (2 hours)
    The course is designed to sharpen and enhance ministry skills, strengthen areas of weakness, and expand the student's thinking regarding ministry principles and practice. This course will help prepare the student through developing his understanding of the daily tasks of ministry including, but not limited to, weddings, funerals, visitation, calls, conflict management, and personal planning and goal setting. The student will be challenged to examine the validity of ministry practice in light of God's Word. (Odd Fall)

    PCM 362   Expository Preaching   (2 hours)
    This is a study of the value and technique of expository preaching. Expository sermons will be developed and preached in class. (Odd Spring)

    PCM 364   Preaching Methods   (2 hours)
    This course is designed to assist the minister in his sermon delivery. Special attention will be given to such matters as dialogue preaching and the use of media in preaching. Actual sermon delivery will take the major portion of the class time. (Even Fall)

    PCM 365   Preaching Seminar   (2 hours)
    An advanced preaching course in which special topics of importance are addressed. Assignments are geared to individual needs and interests. (Odd Fall)

    PCM 366   Preaching Research   (2 hours)
    This course is designed to assist the minister in the research and preparation of his message. Various techniques such as how to plan, self and congregational evaluation, sermon design and others will be studied to begin the course. Then application of these techniques will come through a study of the book of Hosea and or the book of James. (Even Spring)

    PCM 368   Preaching Workshop   (2 hours)
    This course integrates conference or workshop opportunities with guided project assignments. (Occasional)

    PCM 370   Inductive Preaching   (2 hours)
    This course applies inductive methods to the delivery of Biblical principles in the preaching event. Students learn to use induction in the study of the text as well as in the crafting of the sermon. (Even Spring)

    PCM 372   Preaching to Troubled People   (2 hours)
    This course helps the preacher aid the troubled people in his congregation in dealing with their philosophical, theological, psychological, and interpersonal problems by applying Biblical teaching and principles to everyday issues of life. (Occasional)
