    GPS 234   Introduction to Psychology   (3 hours)
    This course is designed to acquaint the student with the most important facts and laws of behavior and mental life. Particular emphasis is upon those aspects of study which have bearing upon the Christian worker. (Every Spring)

    GPS 242   Intro. to Physical Science   (3 hours)
    This course is designed to be an overview and review of two major areas of Physical Science: Physics and Chemistry. (Every Semester)

    GPS 244   Physical Science Lab   (1 hour)
    A companion to GPS 242 which some students may require in order to transfer into another program. (Every Spring)

    GPS 300   Intro. to Biblical Archaeology   (2 hours)
    An introduction to the science of archaeology - its history, scope, modern field methods and techniques, its value and limitations, the use and abuse of archaeological data - so the student may work intelligently with current archaeological literature. Special emphasis is given to the principal archaeological discoveries in lands where Biblical events occurred, showing how these discoveries illumine the background of Scripture and corroborate the Biblical record.     GPS 341   Introduction to Philosophy   (3 hours)
    This is an introduction to the non-revelational thinking of man as it relates to the student and to his surroundings: the nature and source of knowledge; mind and morals; materialism; idealism, realism, pragmatism, empiricism, and existentialism. (Odd Spring)

    GPS 345   Introduction to Logic   (3 hours)
    An introduction to the basic strategies of critical thinking and correct reasoning. It focuses on the structures of formal arguments, on identifying and correcting formal and informal fallacies, and on how to apply these skills to persuasive writing and speaking. (Even Spring)

    GPS 395   Readings in Philosophy   (1-4 hours)
    Selected readings in philosophy will be assigned by the instructor. A minimum of 1,000 pages of reading for each hour of credit, plus a final research paper or project are required for the course.

    GPS 397   Readings in Psychology   (1-4 hours)
    Selected readings in psychology will be assigned by the instructor. A minimum of 1,000 pages of reading for each hour of credit, plus a final research paper or project are required for the course.
