Fees
 
Courses are charged at the independent study rate of $100 per credit hour. Therefore, each class costs $300. However, if two courses are registered for by April 30, a $100 discount will be given, making the cost $500 for two courses.
Frequently Asked Questions
 
What is the maximum number of hours I can take?
Students may take up to 2 classes or 6 hours. An independent study or Internet course may be added to the ours to raise the maximum number of hours to 9 for a summer.
 
Taking one or more of these courses will put me below the 12 hrs needed to qualify for full time in the fall. How would this affect the scholarship?
If you are part-time your last semester of a bachelor's degree, you still qualify for the full-tuition scholarship. If it is not your final semester, you may add some courses to your schedule to get to full-time status.
 
Will it be possible to audit one or more classes?
No, audits are not allowed.
 
Would additional Federal Financial aid be available?
If you have federal financial aid eligibility remaining from the 2007-2008 academic year, you may utilize those funds (grants and/or loans) to pay for summer school.
 
When will I pre-register for these classes?
Courses have to be paid at the time of registration. Courses may be added to the student's Summer 2008 term within the portal or in the Student Services Office up to the second day of summer classes (Tuesday, June 3). Pre-registration continues until Tuesday, June 3.
 
What if I'm on academic warning or suspension?
If the student was eligible for courses in Spring 2008, summer courses can be taken even if the student is on academic warning or alert. Students on academic suspension for Spring 2007 may not take summer courses.
 
What size are the courses?
The courses must have six students enrolled in order to be offered. The maximum number of students in a summer course will be 25.
