Algonac Church of Christ

We are seeking: An experienced minister with varied backgrounds. One that would be reqponsible for strong Bible curriculum for all ages and also help our volunteer staff present the Gospel to our community. The qualifications should be those specified in 1 Timothy 4:6-13, 1 Timothy 6:11-14 and 2 Timothy 2:21-26, also adhering to the New Testament plan of the first century church...To Hear, to Believe, to Repent, to Confess, and Baptism by immersion followed by a faithful life of service to the Lord's Kingdom. Our Minister Should: Be comfortable speaking with both young and old. He should be prepared for weddings as well as funerals. This position would require the capacity to relate to all age groups and developing relationships as a Spiritual Leader in the community. As an Educator: The senior minister would be responsible for preaching the Lord's Word each Sunday and teaching weekly Bible classes as necessary. He would also oversee our teaching staff as they prepare lessons, reviewing materials appropriate to the different age groups. As an Administrator: This position would require regular reports to the Church Board in relation to church programs, church events and the overall condition of the church. A regular office schedule will be posted as well as visitation calls. This schedule is meant for general information not to restrict the minister in other necessary duties that may arise such as hospital calls. The senior minister is responsible for all of the regular office staff, scheduling weekly meetings and communicating as necessary. As an Evangelist: The senior ministry wil promote the Gospel within the community in word and deed. A minister should become part of the local community, representing the Lord's church. He should be available on occasion to address social groups or participate in special services within the ares if asked to do so.
