INFORMATION:
Central Alumni Advisory Association

ARTICLE I: NAME
The name of the organization shall be the Central Alumni Advisory Association of Central Christian College of the Bible.

ARTICLE II: PURPOSE
The Central Alumni Advisory Association (C3A) is an advisory council to the CCCB President that provides a voice for graduates and former students in the ongoing development & growth of Central Christian College of the Bible. The C3A also serves as a fellowship association that connects graduates and former students together to:

  1. Develop a strong sense of fellowship and pride in the College
  2. Assist the College in the recruitment of potential students
  3. Support the development of resources to advance the College
  4. Enhance the College's image locally and around the world

ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP
There are three levels of membership in the Central Alumni Advisory Association into which all graduates and former students may participate:

  1. Adjunct Member-this initial level of membership includes all graduates, current students, and former students of Central Christian College of the Bible. By having been a student at Central, they automatically become adjunct members of the Central Alumni Advisory Association. In addition, current and past administrators, faculty & staff are adjunct members of the Association.

    a. Adjunct Member benefits include receiving REAL, the alumni quarterly paper.

  2. Associate Member-this membership level includes graduates and former students who have completed an Associate Member application form and submitted the annual C3A dues. The Associate Members have a vote in the decisions of the Association meetings, and they nominate and elect four officers of the C3A: President, Vice President, Secretary, & Treasurer.

    a. Associate Member benefits include receiving REAL, a college bookstore discount card, and one free registration and admission to an on-campus event.

  3. Advisory Member-this level of membership requires peer recommendation and election by the Associate Members, and maintaining current associate member status regarding the annual C3A dues. There will be a total of forty (40) advisory board members, including the officers of the C3A who automatically serve on the Advisory Member Board.

    a. Advisory Member benefits include those provided to Associate Members, a special annual banquet and the opportunity to serve in one of the advisory committees: Academic, Business/Finance, Development, and Student Development.

ARTICLE IV: ASSOCIATION OFFICERS & BOARD
SECTION ONE: OFFICERS
The Central Alumni Advisory Association shall elect from within the associate membership officers who will serve for a three year term. The following four officers of the C3A shall lead the association meetings as well as serve on the Advisory Member Board:

  1. President-the president shall preside over the meetings of the Association and the Advisory Board.
  2. Vice President-the vice president shall preside when the president is absent.
  3. Secretary-the secretary shall provide written documentation of the Association and Advisory Board meetings. The secretary shall oversee the membership records and contact information.
  4. Treasurer-the treasurer shall document the reception of Association dues and provide direction to the College on behalf of the Association in the expenditure of those funds.

SECTION TWO: CENTRAL ALUMNI ADVISORY BOARD
The C3A Board shall consist of forty (40) members including the C3A president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. Only Associate Members are eligible to be nominated and elected into the Advisory Board. Twelve members will be elected to the Board each year by a majority vote of those present for the annual meeting of the Association. Those elected shall serve a three-year term to provide greater continuity from year to year. To phase into this structure, the first Board shall consist of:

  1. Four officers serving a three-year term.
  2. Twelve members serving a three-year term.
  3. Twelve members serving a two-year term.
  4. Twelve members serving a one-year term.

ARTICLE V: MEMBERSHIP DUES
The Association is fund based through annual membership dues and project fund raising activities. A year membership begins July 1st and ends on June 30th of each year. The treasurer of the C3A receives the dues and ensures that all monies are deposited in a temporarily restricted account at the College. Expenditures of these funds will only be decided upon and directed by the C3A. The C3A account may be used to supply an annual scholarship, and/or to support the developmental needs and goals of the College. These membership dues may be paid annually, or in multi-year discounted rates as follows:

  1. Annual dues = $15
  2. Three-year dues = $40
  3. Ten-year dues = $100
  4. Lifetime dues = $250

ARTICLE VI: MEETINGS OF THE C3A
SECTION ONE: ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING

  1. The Central Alumni Advisory Association annual meeting is held each year during the Alumni Homecoming event on the campus of Central Christian College of the Bible. During this meeting the advisory association goals and projects may be presented, new members confirmed, information given by the CCCB President, reports of the C3A board planning committees, and a question and answer session.
  2. The Alumni Homecoming event is held each year.

SECTION TWO: ADVISORY BOARD MEETING

  1. The Central Alumni Advisory Board annual meeting is likewise held during the Alumni Homecoming event. This meeting focuses on updates of college activities and personnel by the CCCB President, the C3A Advisory Board also meets in four advisory planning committees: Academic, Business/Finance, Development, and Student Development.

SECTION THREE: SPECIAL MEETINGS

  1. Special meetings of the Advisory Board may be called by either the C3A President or the CCCB President. These meetings may be conducted in person, or email. In addition, the Advisory Board may be consulted by the CCCB President to seek alumni opinions regarding various opportunities and developments of the college.
