Lebanon's Strong signs with Saints

MOBERLY, Mo. — CCCB soccer coach Josh Sanchez announced the signing of Adam Strong for the 2008 soccer season.

Strong joins the Saints after a succesful career at Lebanon High School, where he was a two-year starter for the Yellowjackets. As a midfielder, Strong scored four goals and had three assists in his two years at the varsity level.

The 2008 LHS graduate earned second-team all-district honors for his play as a senior. He was also selected to play in the Southwest Missouri Soccer All-Star Game, which takes place June 19 in Springfield.

"He has proven skills that can make him a cornerstone in this program," Sanchez said. "He will be a piece that we can build our offense and defense around, having such a strong middle."

While at CCCB, Strong plans to pursue a degree in Youth Ministry.

"To be able to go to college and prepare myself for my ministry and play soccer is amazing," Strong said. "Excited doesn't even begin to describe how I feel to be able to play soccer at the collegiate level. But to top it off, I get to prepare for my ministry as well."

The Saints kick off the 2008 season on Aug. 22 with the annual Alumni game.
