BELLEVUE, Neb. - After trailing 1-0 at halftime on Saturday, the Saints scored two goals in the first 1:30 of the second half to bounce back and claim their
third straight victory with a 4-2 win over Grace University on Saturday.
CCCB (5-4, 3-2 MCCC) missed on several promising scoring opportunities in the first half, but wasted no time getting on the board after the break.
Mike Flynn opened the scoring just 42 seconds into the second period,
while Jammie Lowe found the bottom right corner of the net on an indirect kick 48 seconds later for a 2-1 lead over their conference foe.
Lowe scored again on penalty kick in the 55th minute after Flynn was taken down inside the box. Grace made it 3-2 in the 66th minute, but Shawn Allee sealed the win
after an assist from goalkeeper Barry Richardson in the 88th minute.
The Saints' third straight win comes after a 5-0 victory over Nebraska Christian College on Friday. Lowe had a hand in the first three goals of the game,
assisting Dane Denker on the first two and Flynn on the third. Allee found Seth Harken to make it 4-0 at halftime, and Harken fed Daniel Goehringer 10 minutes into the second half to finish out the scoring.
CCCB's string of eight straight road games comes to a close Tuesday when they host Saint Louis Christian College at the start of a five-game homestand.
