MOBERLY, Mo. A scheduling mishap resulted in a rare 9 p.m. kickoff, but Central Christian College of the Bible
went on to run it's winning streak to a school-record seven games with a 7-0 victory at Vennard College on Monday.
The Saints (10-1-0, 4-1-0 Midwest Christian College Conference) got two goals each from Dane Denker and Michael Flynn, while goalkeeper Adam Strong
posted his first career shutout.
CCCB led 3-0 at halftime after goals by David McConeghey, Daniel Goehringer and Denker.
Flynn scored twice in the second half, while Denker and Dustan Corcoran added a goal each.
The win comes on the heels of a pair of wins in Springfield over the weekend. The Saints topped Central Bible College 2-1 on Friday and Baptist Bible College by
a 9-1 score on Saturday.
McConeghey scored both goals against Central Bible on shots from 25 yards out. He added another goal against Baptist Bible just 1:05 into play that ignited what had been
a stagnant offense the day before.
Denker recorded his first career hat trick against the Patriots, while Adam Fox scored the first two goals of his career. Seth Harken and
Corcoran scored, as well as Chris Robinson with his first career goal.
The Saints will put their six-game winning streak on the line Friday when they head to Fayette to face NAIA-foe Central Methodist University at 3 p.m.
