Saints ready to resume practices in 2008

MOBERLY, Mo. — The 2008 volleyball season is just days away as practices are set to begin on Friday. All volleyball players may move into the dorms on Friday, Aug. 15 with practice taking place in the evening at 6 p.m.

Central coach Ed Lewis enters his fifth season at the helm of the volleyball program. Last season he guided a relatively inexperienced Saints squad to an 8-13 mark.

The CCCB women open to the 2008 season at home against Saint Louis Christian College on Sept. 2. They host Calvary Bible College on Sept. 5 before heading off to the Pre-Region Classic in Manhattan, Kan.

The Saints play 15 regular season matches in addition to the Pre-Region Classic and the Midwest Christian College Conference Tournament in Haviland, Kan. The Central Region Tournament will take place in Springfield.
