The CCCB Saints basketball teams would like to cordially invite EVERYONE to attend their Senior Recognition game, Saturday, January 28th at 1:00 and 3:00pm. Central will be hosting the Ambassadors of Ozark Christian College. In between the men's and women's games we will recognize students who are graduating and/or have completed their last year of eligibility in basketball.
Lady Saints earned two big conference wins in Kansas over the weekend; one against Manhattan Christian College and the other against Barclay College. This makes their record 10-8 overall, and 6-0 in the conference. These wins put the 2011-2012 on the pages of history, beating the record for the most wins and for the best conference
record ever. The Ladies saw the return of Marissa Hunter this semester; she joins the 11 returning players from the Fall semester. The NCCAA has ranked Central at #6 in the nation.
The guys lost to Manhattan Christian this weekend, but then went on to beat Barclay College in a well fought game, 64-61. Terry Jones has yet to return to the court after suffering an injury against Calvary. During the Barclay game, Kris Holford and newcomer, Maurice Savage, Jr. fouled out. The Saints bench rose to the occasion with some excellent defense and led by senior, Jerrell Harvey. These games bring the men to a 5-15 season record overall and 4-4 in the MCCC (3rd place).
