Women's Day
Central Christian College of the Bible will be hosting their annual Women’s Day and Banquet on Thursday, April 12, 2012. The last several years we have hosted the event on a Saturday, but at the request of the ladies we are moving it back to a Thursday evening.
Our speakers with year are Lisa Jernigan and Patty Wyatt from Central Christian Church in Mesa, Arizona. Lisa and Patty were featured in an article in the Christian Standard on May 8, 2011, where they discussed their ministry, GirlfriendIT.
Women’s Day will start with a 4:30 workshop. This workshop will be on starting a women’s ministry or enhancing an existing women’s ministry.
The banquet is that evening at 6:30. This year’s theme is “Girlfriends.” Women have the need to connect to each other, and that is something that we don’t do very well any more. We don’t learn from each other unless we make a special effort. The message will address this need, biblical guidance in this area, and encouragement to step up and meet those needs.
