Regina Bennett Green served at Central Christian College of the Bible as a Professor of Christian Counseling starting in 2005, but resigned in 2011 after having been diagnosed with cancer. She is also an alumna of Central, having begun her collegiate work as a freshman here in the Fall of 1970.
During Regina’s time as a professor at Central, she demonstrated leadership to the students and her fellow faculty through devoted service in a variety of roles. Her students found the courses that she taught to be extremely rewarding and beneficial.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Green served as Dean of Women at Central. She also provided personal counseling to employees and family members of the College, which brought much strength and healing to her fellow-workers. Part of her responsibilities was supervising the counseling internships, giving helpful feedback and training to our student counselors. She saw the value of these internships both for the students experiencing them and the student body who received counseling from their peers.
The College has established the Regina Bennett Green Scholarship as a way to honor her by providing scholarships to counseling students while they serve in their field education experience.
If you would like to help Christian counseling students at Central by supporting the Regina Bennett Green Scholarship, you may give online at cccb.edu/regina.
Those who give $50 or more will be recognized on the College website as founding donors for this scholarship.
