Other info:  The Webster City Church of Christ is seeking a full-time Senior Minister to replace a minister who is retiring June, 2012.  Webster City is a rural farming community.  The candidate must hold a doctrinal position that is consistent with the beliefs of the Restoration Movement.  The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and integrating his own activities with other staff members, and generate a cohesive, church-wide, Bible-based, Christ-centered program.  He must cooperate with and assist the appointed elders in developing and implementing effective ministry and plans, along with providing daily leadership for the overall ministry and teaching of the church.  This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, strong outreach and community involvement abilities, and the ability to interact with a multigenerational congregation.  He must also be accessible to the people of the church.  Present staff includes a senior minister, full-time youth and family minister, and a part-time secretary.  The physical facilities are a church with 350 seat sanctuary, a 3-story building across the street with a gym for church and community use, and an excellent parsonage.  The church has no debt.

The First Christian Church of Altus,Oklahoma is seeking a pastor for our congregation.  Our church was organized approximately one hundred and five years ago as a Disciples of Christ congregation and remained that way until April 1, 2012.  On that date the
congregation voted to become independent by a vote of nearly ninety percent.

The building we had worshiped in for about sixty years burned to the ground on June 19, 2008 caused by a lighting strike during a
thunderstorm.  We decided after the fire to explore a new location and following our search we purchased a four acre tract and last September (2011) completed our new facility.  The Lord has blessed us beyond measure with a new worship facility which has thirteen thousand square feet of floor space (30% larger than our previous building) in an excellent location.  The cost of the property and building has been paid in full with no mortgage debt.

Altus is located in southwestern Oklahoma with a population of about twenty thousand.  Our economy is predominately agriculture with the center of activity being cotton, wheat and cattle.  We also are the home of Altus Air Force base where pilots and crews of C17 and
KC135 aircraft are trained.  We also have Western Oklahoma State College and Southwest Technology Center which offer a diverse selection of educational opportunities.  Medical facilities would probably be above average for a city our size.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense that God has called him to ministry.  He will have a passion and vision for church
growth.  This person will have a desire to develop, equip and empower others.  He will be a 1^st Timothy 3 man who is spiritually
mature and capable of encouraging spiritual growth in others.
