Step 7: Parent Loans

Please follow these steps to apply for a Parent PLUS loan on-line:

Central Christian College participates in the Federal Stafford PLUS Loan program. There are many lenders who offer Federal Stafford PLUS Loans. You are free to use whichever lender you want to use. There are a few steps you must take in order to qualify for the PLUS loan.

1. You must complete an application for credit with the lender of your choice. If you want to use one of Central's primary lenders, (you can read about them in the Student Loan section, step 6) please follow MOHELA'S link to make your application.



2. If for any reason your credit is not approved, your student will qualify for an additional $4,000 - $5,000 for the academic year.



3. Once your credit is approved please fill out a master promissory note (MPN). If you are using one of our primary lenders, please follow this link to do so.



4. Once the MPN is complete, the last step is to fill a Parent PLUS Loan Data Sheet in order to request your loan amount. The Financial Aid Office will be happy to help you to determine the loan amount you may need to complete your student's financial aid package. You may also refer to our Financial Aid Handbook, Semester Fee Schedule, and other resources to determine what your student may need to complete their financial aid package.



5. If you would rather complete the process using all paper applications, etc, then please call the financial aid office and we will send you the necessary forms to do so.
