Christian educators inform God’s people for their development and service in God’s kingdom. This program helps students understand the characteristics, needs, and developmental tasks for learning in all stages of human development. Students learn to prepare age-appropriate lessons that present biblical truth to the needs of learners. Students also develop the leadership role of evaluating products and resources that are available to assist the educational ministry of the church. (This program is available onsite as a major or a minor.) Career Opportunities Graduates who complete the Christian Education program are trained for ministry in a local church in areas such as children’s ministry, adult education, discipleship, small groups, involvement, and Christian education. Many Christian schools also accept a Christian education degree as qualification for teaching at the preschool and elementary level. Graduates may also pursue a graduate degree in education or alternative certification leading to initial teaching certification.
