YOUTH & FAMILY MINISTRY

Youth and Family Ministry

Our Youth & Family Ministry students examine social trends that affect today’s families and youth ministry. They evaluate youth ministry models, products, and resources that build the youth ministry of a local congregation.

This program is perfect for you if you enjoy connecting with students and sharing life with them. It raises up ministers who see the importance of shaping and impacting the lives of the church’s next generation. Turn your passion into experience with practical skills for developing an effective, thriving youth ministry. Ground yourself in the Bible and partner with churches, professors and other students to grow in you the capacity for long term leadership.

The Youth and Family Ministry degree program can either be pursued as a four year major or as a minor in conjunction with our other major options. With classes like Creative Teaching, Youth Ministry Methods, and Youth and Family Counseling, the Youth and Family Ministry program is designed to:

  • Teach the student how to effectively evangelize and disciple the next generation
  • Develop the student’s understanding of various social trends that affect students, their families, and the task of youth ministry
  • Sharpen the student’s ability to leverage Christ’s call to churches and families to make the greatest impact in a kid or teen’s life
