Immediate Opening for Rural Adventure

This is a Full-Time position with First Christian Church of Beaver in Beaver, Oklahoma.

Duration: May 22nd through August 7th 2016

Job Requirements:
The summer intern will be accountable to the Youth Minister and the church for assisting in all designated areas of educational program with specific emphasis to be placed on children’s and student ministries. The Intern will report directly to the Youth Minister and will meet weekly with to review the intern’s ministry, to pray, and to discuss personal growth and/or concerns. The Summer Inter will work with the Youth Minister to plan and oversee all aspects of weekly youth and children’s programming, assist and provide leadership in summer activities such as Summer Camp, VBS, day trips, and other events or duties assigned, and Build relationships with parents and their children to encourage them in their spiritual walk

Application Requirements:
1.Intern must exhibit an active and growing faith in Christ evident by a stable devotional and prayer life 2. Intern must have a willingness to serve in a team environment and have a basic understanding of and ability Intern to teach the Scriptures 3. Intern must possess a passion for Youth and children; stimulating their spiritual development and maturity through creativity and hand-on learning 4. Intern must have a willingness to lead while having a heart of a servant shown through a teachable spirit and a desire to learn 5. Intern must be a self-starter able to complete tasks assigned 6. Church / Organization Description:
The purpose of the summer internship is to grow and equip young ministerial students with a stronger passion for Christ, the church, and the community. The summer intern will assist the Youth Minister in caring for our teen and children’s programming through the summer while learning how to minister in a rural, small town setting.

Compensation: A small salary, stipend, and housing is provided.
